Ditch the ordinary. Do adventure travel! Your new favourite way to see the world starts here.

Wait, what even is adventure travel? Let’s clear some things up first, because no, we swear “Adventure” doesn’t mean you’re getting chucked out of a plane unless you’re into that. Or *gasp* no beach time. As if.

Step aside, dated stereotypes. What adventure travel does mean is trying out that local cooking class. Island-hopping. Bucket list hikes. Spontaneous nights out with new best mates. Basically anything that’s super fun and will make you say, “I’m never setting foot in an all-inclusive resort ever again.”

So, What’s Adventure Travel Like?

Adventure travel is whatever you want it to be.

Yep, it’s that easy! Your dream trip could look completely different to someone else’s, but hey, that doesn’t make it any more or less adventurous.

Start with the feeling of you at your happiest. Then times it by 100. That could be conquering the trek of a lifetime. Beach clubs and DJ sets. Street food crawling, or feeling extremely cultured as you hop between museums. Whatever takes your fancy.

Got dealbreakers? No need to lower your standards. Budget or boutique, action-packed or easy breezy, you can still experience adventure whilst embracing your travel style.

Beaches & Island-Hopping

Love a lazy beach day? Us too! So kick things up a notch and start living like the island-hopper you were always meant to be.

Picture yourself playing beach volleyball in Rio de Janeiro, sunset colours dipping over Copacabana. Sailing to secret islands in the Philippines, in awe that the planet can actually look like this. Chasing surf or hot surfers in Australia.

Whatever your paradise is, it’s out there. You don’t need a sign. You just need a flight (and maybe a piña colada).

Not just a pretty face! Your travel bucket list probably starts with ticking off iconic sights, but what you’ll remember most is the way destinations make you feel.

More specifically, it’s the distinct memories and specific type of energy you cannot recreate anywhere else. From rolling sushi in Japan to salsa dancing in Guatemala, or stargazing in the Sahara Desert, culture can be experienced in all kinds of ways.

It can also be meaningfully engaging with local communities, from that homestay you knew nothing about but ended up being your favourite trip memory, or the time your group leader took you to their personal favourite food spot.

Active & Hiking

Traveller at Machu Picchu in Peru

You’ve got mountains to climb, national parks to wander around in, and adrenaline rushes to chase. Lucky for you, there’s always another peak to beat.

Maybe you just want to make the weekends or short breaks count. Or you could be craving the kind of bucket list trek with the highest of highs and challenging lows, proving to yourself that yeah, you’re that traveller.

Active trips are for anyone who wants to feel on top of the world, fancies getting their steps in, or needs to brb and reconnect with nature.

Social

Writing about nightlife always feels a little cheesy… Probably because I’m very sober rn. But sometimes you really are just dancing the night away, preferably under the stars on a tropical island with your new travel besties. And you wouldn’t have it any other way.

If your perfect adventure is a little unhinged. If you’re the social butterfly who always finds themselves saying yes to anything (it’s character-building). Or if you think nothing bonds a group quite like local drinking games. We think it’s about time you met your people.

Everything!

Travellers by the elephants at an ethical sanctuary

Like wanting to try every flavour of gelato in Italy. How will you possibly know what your fave experiences are unless you experience travel in all kinds of ways? One day you could go jungle trekking, another partying back in the city. If you’re a liiittle indecisive, trips that go big on variety are the miracle cure for decision fatigue. No decisions to be made when they’re all coming up. Wooo!

How Long Are Adventure Trips?

Group with arms up by the neon Glico Man in Osaka, Japan

As long as you want! You’re looking at anywhere from a couple of days to a few weeks. Or, if you want, longer… Hey, maybe even a “Gap Yah.” 😉

Short breaks are more popular than ever. A lot of young people automatically dismiss adventure travel as not for them, because they assume it won't work out, time- or money-wise. We think that’s BS.

You don’t need to spend a fortune. You don’t need all the time in the world. You don’t even need to see yourself as an adventurous traveller. Think dream trips made for you. Yep, you, exactly as you are, right now!

Is Adventure Travel For Me?

With this much variety, it’s harder for it not to be for you.

So, if you’re reading all of the above and are thinking to yourself, “This is a bit of me.” Yeah it is! You probably wouldn’t guess from our extremely subtle name, but we know a thing or two about adventure travel.
