Day 2: Seoul-searching
Get to know Seoul better by exploring the city's most traditional sights today, starting with Gyeongbokgung Palace. Famed for its vibrant architecture and epic Changing of the Guard ceremony, the palace grounds will take your breath away. Next up is Hanok Village, home to enchanting alleyways. Finish up at Insadong Street for a free afternoon of shopping, street food and drinks!
Day 3: DMZ and Gwangjang Market
This morning we'll be visiting the DMZ split between North and South Korea, gaining unique insight into this corner of the world. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that you won't want to miss, especially as we'll catch a rare glimpse into North Korea from the observation deck. Then it's time to find out why Seoul is one of the greatest street food capitals in the world with a tour around Gwangjang Market, aka a foodie's paradise!
Day 4: Seoul to Jeonju
Jeonju is calling! We'll hop on our first high-speed train today, which will take us to this traditional city famed for its heritage village. Together we'll explore the historic streets before indulging in a soju taste-testing. Then it's time for our cooking class! Learn how to make Jeonju's signature rice dish, bibimbap, from scratch and dig in.
Day 5: Busan
A new day, a new city! We'll take the train to Busan today, famed for its golden beaches, delicious food and awesome nightlife. Enjoy a free afternoon to go café-hopping and explore the local sights. Then we're hopping onto the Haeundae Sky Capsule for stunning ocean views as we ride along the coast. We'll kick the evening off with a Korean BBQ for dinner; then get your karaoke songs ready!
Day 6: Taekwondo class
You've been meaning to master those martial arts skills, and now's your chance with our Taekwondo class! This session is open to all abilities and you'll feel like a pro in no time. The rest of today is completely free for you to discover more of Busan, whether you fancy some beach time or treating yourself at the spa. Then it's our final evening in Busan, so let's make it count!
Day 7: Buddhist temple stay
Today's pretty special, as we'll be visiting and spending the night at a working Buddhist temple! Soak in the peaceful ambience and enjoy the views of forest stretches. We'll join the monks for their prayers, before filling up on traditional Korean temple food for dinner.
Day 8: Gyeongju
Our adventure continues to Gyeongju, where the ancient Silla Kingdom reigned for almost 1,000 years! Discover the historic sights of Gyeongju with a bicycling tour, from the famous tombs of past monarchs to palace ruins and scenic viewpoints. Today we'll also dress up in traditional Hanbok and spend the night in a unique Hanok-style house!
Day 9: Return to Seoul
What better way to kickstart our arrival back in Seoul than with a K-pop dance session? While we can't promise you'll be ready to make your idol debut by the end of class, give it your best shot and who knows! Later on, we'll film our very own music video and take lots of cute photos at HiKR ground. Tonight is our final evening together, so we'll celebrate with an unforgettable farewell dinner.
Day 10: Finish in Seoul
Our adventure ends today. You are welcome to depart at any time, and for help in organising return airport transfers, your trip leader will be happy to assist. Until next time!
