Day 1: Welcome to Sydney
This morning we'll meet up as a group for the first time before heading to the Darling Harbour to grab some lunch and begin our city walking tour. Back at our hostel, we'll get to know each other better over some snacks and drinks at the on-site bar. As one of the most popular hotspots among backpackers in Sydney, there's always something exciting going on here!
Day 2: Sydney Harbour cruise
Enjoy a free morning in Sydney before heading out onto the waterfront with our private catamaran party cruise. Enjoy a delicious BBQ onboard before anchoring at a beach, whether you feel like dipping into the ocean or going for a short wander. Tonight's a free evening to relax and dive into Sydney's nightlife for round two!
Day 3: NYE in Sydney
Last day of 2026, can you believe it? Claim your spot to watch the fireworks over Sydney Harbour - the earlier, the better! Or opt to experience the atmosphere how you like, from boat parties to rooftop venues, the choice is yours! Time flies. Before you know it, the moment you've been waiting for is here. 3, 2, 1... HAPPY NEW YEAR!
Day 4: NYD on Bondi Beach
Last night was perfect, and there's no better way to spend New Year's Day than at the beach! Enjoy the entire day to chill out at Bondi Beach and keep the good vibes going. Think winter sunshine, ocean dips and soaking in the buzzing New Year's Day energy. We've got a great feeling about 2027!
Day 5: Sydney and night out
Did someone say free day? Now's your chance to explore Sydney's beachside neighbourhoods, or choose to go on a Blue Mountains day trip. Refresh back at the hostel and get dressed up, because tonight we're going all out. See you at the bar!
Day 6: Sydney to Port Stephens
Our next destination is a beachy paradise. To make this coastal getaway even more special, we'll be staying in beachside cosy cabin huts. Following our lively group dinner, we'll head to shore and do some stargazing over a few drinks!
Day 7: Port Stephens
Today is pretty epic, as we start off driving around the Stockton Sand Dunes in 4WD vehicles. Then it's time to go surfing down these gigantic golden slopes, so grab a board and get ready because this activity is loads of fun! After perfecting our sandboarding technique, we're onto Tomaree National Park for our bushwalk. To celebrate our adventures, we'll put the BBQ on for dinner and finish the day back on the beach.
Day 8: Dolphin cruise and Sydney
No trip to Port Stephens is complete without exploring its sun-kissed waters; after breakfast, we're heading out onto the ocean to spot the coastal town's most famous residents... bottlenose dolphins, out in the wild. Your trip ends upon arrival back in Sydney this evening.
We recommend that you book an extra night of accommodation - a travel advisor can assist you with this.

Accommodation:
7 nights of mixed-sex, multi-share dorms are included. You'll be staying at one of Sydney's most famous hostels, known to sell out fast at this time of year.
Meals:
2 breakfasts, 2 lunches and 3 dinners are included. Your group leader has got the best recommendations for where to eat and drink during your free time.

Arrival Information:
Arrive in Sydney International Airport (SYD) and we'll shuttle you directly to the hostel.
We've got activities planned on day 1, so we recommend arriving a day before. Please speak with a travel advisor regarding booking pre-night accommodation.
The trip ends in Sydney on the evening of day 8. We recommend that you book an extra night of accommodation. A travel advisor can assist you with this.
Return airport transfers are not included.
